Key Responsibilities
1. Claims Administration & Processing
- Register new claims and capture claim details on internal systems
- Load and authorise claim payments
- Examine and validate new claims and supporting documentation
- Adjust claims in line with Sasria policy cover
- Verify supporting documents and ensure accurate quantum calculations
- Maintain document diaries on the IMS system
- Update claim reserves according to reserving policy
- Follow up on outstanding documentation
- Analyse claims exposure and determine appropriate settlement action
- Approve claims within delegated authority
- Escalate complex or contentious claims to the Supervisor
- Update system notes to reflect the latest claim status
- Inform the underwriting department of coverage gaps or premium discrepancies
- Handle customer queries promptly and professionally
2. Agency & Broker Liaison
- Negotiate settlement of claims
- Liaise regularly with agents and brokers
- Provide progress updates to all relevant stakeholders
3. Ad Hoc Duties
- Perform additional tasks as required by the Line Manager
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- No prior work experience required
- Strong administrative and communication skills will be advantageous
