This 12-month programme offers hands-on work experience, combined with a registered learnership qualification, giving you the skills and exposure needed to improve your future employability.

What is the FNB Learnership Programme?

The FNB Learnership Programme is designed for unemployed youth who are eager to gain professional experience and build a career within one of South Africa’s leading financial institutions. Participants will receive practical, on-the-job training while studying towards an NQF-aligned qualification.

Successful candidates will be placed across various FNB departments, including:

  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Collections
  • FNB Cards
  • Private and Wealth Investments
  • Sales
  • Customer Service
  • Administration and Support
  • Catering Services

Each placement is tailored to give learners relevant industry experience and valuable insights into the daily operations of a major bank.

Minimum Requirements for FNB Learnership 2025

To apply, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Advertisements

  • Age: Between 18 and 34 years old
  • Citizenship: South African citizen
  • Education: Minimum of a Matric certificate (NQF 4). Higher certificates or diplomas (NQF 5 or 6) are also accepted
  • Employment Status:
    • Unemployed for at least 6 months
    • Not currently studying
    • Have less than 12 months of total work experience (including casual or part-time jobs)
  • First Job: This must be your first official job opportunity
  • Previous Participation: Must not have taken part in the FirstJob programme or worked for FirstRand Group
  • Language: Good command of English (spoken and written)
  • Other: No criminal record or blacklisting

Candidates must also be willing to commit to completing a full 12-month learnership programme while gaining valuable workplace experience.
