This 12-month learnership programme provides structured workplace training designed to equip learners with the commercial knowledge, retail merchandising skills, and customer engagement experience required to succeed in the sales and retail sector.

Participants will work closely with the Sales and Merchandising teams, supporting in-store execution, customer service, and product visibility across assigned retail outlets.

This learnership focuses on providing hands-on experience in retail merchandising, sales support, and customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

In-Store Merchandising and Sales Support

Successful learners will assist with daily merchandising and sales activities, including:

  • Executing daily store call schedules across assigned retail outlets.
  • Implementing visual merchandising standards and product displays according to brand guidelines.
  • Ensuring product availability, quality, and visibility in retail stores.
  • Monitoring merchandising standards using execution scorecards and iRED surveys.
  • Supporting customers with order placement through the MyCCBA platform.
  • Assisting with promotional campaigns and marketing activations to improve brand visibility.
  • Rotating stock to maintain product freshness and compliance with merchandising policies.
  • Providing relief support across different stores when required.

Learnership Requirements

To qualify for the Coca-Cola Merchandise Learnership 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Minimum Education

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (minimum 40% pass mark).
  • English and one additional language (minimum 40% pass mark).

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Be unemployed at the time of application.
  • Not currently be enrolled in another learnership or full-time study programme.
  • Not have previously completed the same qualification or learnership.
  • Have no criminal record or adverse credit record.
  • Be willing to undergo criminal, ID, and qualification verification checks.
  • Be available to work six days per week.
  • Be an Employment Equity candidate.

A valid driver’s licence will be advantageous as the role may require travel between retail outlets.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with a post-matric qualification in Sales and Marketing will have an added advantage when applying for this learnership programme.
