AgriSETA Learning Programmes

AgriSETA continues to support South African youth through a wide range of skills development programmes. These opportunities include graduate placements, internships, bursaries, artisan development, learnerships, and short skills programmes. Designed to empower learners with practical and theoretical knowledge, the programmes prepare candidates for long-term employment in the agricultural sector and beyond.
Application Window
The annual application period runs from 01 August to 15 September. During this time, applicants may apply directly through the AgriSETA website or via accredited AgriSETA service providers. Applicants are strongly encouraged to verify the authenticity of any facilitator companies, as AgriSETA will not be held liable for non-accredited organisations.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 certificate is required.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 40.
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
Available Programmes
- Learnerships (18.1 & 18.2): Vocational programmes that combine classroom theory and practical workplace experience, leading to a SAQA-registered qualification.
- Skills Programmes: Short, occupational-based courses focusing on practical skills. These may stand alone or be bundled to work toward a full qualification.
- Graduate Placements & Internships: Structured workplace training for recent graduates.
- Bursaries & Artisan Development: Financial and practical support for learners pursuing agricultural careers.
- Adult Education and Training (AET): Literacy and numeracy programmes supporting lifelong learning.
