SPAR Learnerships 2026: Applications Now Open for 70 Unemployed Youth
The SPAR Group, one of South Africa’s largest and most trusted supermarket chains, has officially opened applications for its 2026/2027 Learnership Programmes. SPAR is recruiting 70 unemployed learners to participate in two accredited learnership opportunities aimed at skills development and workplace experience.
These SPAR Learnerships 2026 are ideal for young South Africans who are looking to build a career in logistics, transport, and supply chain management.
SPAR Learnership Programmes 2026/27
The SPAR Group is offering the following NQF Level 5 learnership programmes:
1. National Certificate: Transport Operations (NQF Level 5)
This learnership is hosted at the SPAR North Rand Distribution Centre and is designed for unemployed youth interested in the transport and logistics sector.
About the Transport Operations Learnership
- Duration: 12 months
- Combines structured theoretical training with practical workplace experience
- Focuses on transport, distribution, and logistics operations
- 20 learners will be selected for this programme
Successful candidates will gain hands-on exposure within SPAR’s distribution environment, improving their employability in the logistics industry.
2. National Certificate: Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 5)
The Supply Chain Management Learnership will also take place at the SPAR North Distribution Centre.
Key Details
- Duration: 12 months
- Focus on supply chain processes, distribution, and operational management
- 50 learners will be placed on this learnership
This programme provides valuable skills and experience for individuals seeking a long-term career in supply chain and warehouse operations.
Minimum Requirements for SPAR Learnerships 2026
To qualify for either SPAR Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- Must be currently unemployed
- Must not be studying or registered for another qualification
- Must be between 18 and 34 years old
