The South African Forestry Company Limited (SAFCOL) invites unemployed youth aged 18–35 to apply for the SAFCOL Mechanised Harvesting Learnership Programme 2026/2027.
This ten (10) month structured learnership offers valuable theoretical and practical training designed to equip participants with essential forestry skills — opening doors to career opportunities or the chance to start your own Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprise (SMME) within the forestry sector.
SAFCOL Learnership Overview
- Programme Name: SAFCOL Mechanised Harvesting Learnership
- Qualification: Mechanised Harvesting (NQF Level 3)
- Duration: 10 months
- Location: SAFCOL Training Centre, Platorand – Sabie, Mpumalanga Province
- Stipend: Monthly allowance provided during the learnership period
What the SAFCOL Learnership Includes
The 2026/2027 Mechanised Harvesting Learnership consists of both theoretical and practical components:

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the SAFCOL Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African Citizen
- Be unemployed and aged between 18 and 35 years
- Have successfully completed Grade 12 (Matric)
- Be passionate about the forestry environment and willing to work outdoors
