To provide general cleaning, tidying, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and replenish consumables in buildings and facilities. Cleaning of assigned areas within the designated work area, ensure all areas are kept clean and hygienic throughout the University.
A minimum of three (3) years experience in the cleaning field
Knowledge and experience in the handling of cleaning products and chemicals
Knowledge and experience in operating relevant cleaning equipment and machinery
The candidate must be physically fit (Be able to climb ladders, clean floors and operate machinery)
Recommendations
Grade 12 (standard 10) qualification
A certificate in Hygiene/Cleaning / Housekeeping
- Cleaning all buildings and facilities as instructed by Supervisor including Deep cleaning, stripping and sealing of buildings
- Replenish all consumables on a daily bases as scheduled or as needed depending on the demand
- Report all maintenance issues to supervisor on a daily basis
- Assist in all areas of work where needed
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Maintenance of Cleaning Equipment
- Assist in ad-hoc duties
